FIIT for Newbies?
Hi everyone!
I tried to look for an existing thread on FIIT (Fierce Intense Interval Training), especially for newbies, but I didn't see one. Is anyone currently doing this and can provide feedback or tips? I've been doing some reading but I wanted to get real experiences. I am a newbie. I just started about a month ago with walking exercises and just in the past two weeks, cardio (like zumba). I wanted to add something else to my workout regimen. Thanks! |
Trying searching for HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), I've never heard of FIIT but I'd bet they are they same thing. :)
The InterWebz will have a ton of info for HIIT for all abilities. My personal experience is that I do better with HIIT on a bike than with running, as all-out sprinting leaves me too injury prone at my age. I also tried a HIIT routine with jump squats, burpees, mountain climbers, etc. and it was darn hard and I'm sure very effective. But once again made it easy to get injured. |
Fitness Blender has a bunch of great free online HIIT routines, with low impact options so there is less chance of injury. They have a bunch of beginner alternatives and are a great resource for people new to HIIT.

Mrs_Snark - yes, I think they are the same thing. Thanks! I have a herniated disc so almost everything I do is done modified. I try my best not to get injured - injury is my #1 fear.
amy_beth88 - Thanks for the tip! |
