Pedometer..10,000 steps a day.
I was reading the journals and one lady mentoned her pedometer and shooting for 10,000 steps a day. Made me think about the podemeter I bought when I used to belong to weight watchers that I still have in my drawer some where. I'm going to have to pull it out. Anyone else doing that lately? Opinions?

I have the pedometer also.... and was doing that at one time.... it does work..... i think 10,000 steps equals about 5 miles of walking a day....

I am currently running a pilot study in the surgery I work in with the 10k a Day Peeometer pack. Our local health service is evaluating the usefulness of the pedometers and I am one of the lucky few who got picked to run part of the study.
I love the idea because it is so simple - try the webiste http://www.wellness.lanl.gov/svc/motive/10k/pedtips.htm It gives some nice basic info. Searching Google for "pedometer steps day" will also get you some nice info (and some awful selling stuff too so beware). Good luck with it, I hope it suits you and you get fitter and thinner (or leaner)! |
