Makes total sense to me. That's part of the reason I gave up dieting. I used to think that skinny=happy but that's not reality. We put a lot of hope that our lives would be perfect if only we lost x amount of pounds. But people lose weight all the time and find that their life is still stressful and they are still unhappy. On top of that there is the added pressure of the dreaded maintenance.

Which is soooo frustrating, everyone going around saying how difficult maintenance is! You have to go through this painful diet to lose weight and then you have another mountain to climb.... forever! Let's face it, if you've lost weight through difficult methods it's going to suck to keep it off.

Of course it's nothing to do with weightloss.

But it has everything to do with diet and exercise.

I was really down in the dumps until: 1) I started running and working out; and 2) eating oily fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel.

I can kick my anxiety now through either of these.

In summary, I'd be pretty pissed too if I lost weight by eating teeny weeny salads, sitting around all day, doing no physical activity and wasting away.

But that's just me. So it's the how you lose that matters.
