Time for a new thread

Good Morning Oers!

I had an awesome moring workout. I did L2 again this morning and it felt great! I can feel the difference in my clothes. Everything just fits better:)!

Juliette-Doing O in the morning is the best thing I've ever done. It really does help me get going and then I won't have any excuses to not do it later on. I agree you have to be consistent with O or it won't work. I also think that doing O sitting down is great and I use the commuter tape allot. Keep Oeing Juliette you are getting awesome results:)!

Threads-I'm glad you've decided to order O as well. I know you'll end up loving it. It really does make you feel so much better and yes you can do it while you are sewing. That's a great idea:)! The more breaths you do the better the results. Keep us posted. Oh and you might want to email Julie at [email protected] and ask her for her breathing tips. These really helped me a bunch.

How is everyone else doing? I looked in the mirror today and actually could see my waist getting smaller. I still need allot of work on my lower abs but at least I can see some results. It made me very happy:D! Keep oeing everyone and check in when you can.

ageoldie 03-13-2001 11:11 PM

Don't have a lot to say tonigh, just wanted to say hi and tell everyone to hang in there.

Threads to post your weitght and goals you need to go the profiles up at the top of the page. Then go the the section titled signature and put your name and anything else you want to say. The format that most people use for weight, is "starting weight/current weight/goal Of course it's you signature and you can do it any way you want.
Oh yeah when you post you nave to make sure that you check the box that say "show signature"

Have a great O week!!

ras8779 03-14-2001 10:48 AM

Hi everyone!

I was thinking about this while I was doing my L2 workout this morning, and I thought O really does work the muscles if you want it to. It all depends on how much gripping, pushing, flexing you do in the positions. I experimented yesterday by really gripping the floor so I could feel my muscles and this morning they were sore. So along with the proper breathing you really can tone those muscles by concentrating on really working them in each position. The more I do O the more I like it:D!

Barbg-I'm glad you posted:)! It's great to know that everyone is still hanging on out there. And it's always nice to see new people posting too like Threads:)! Hey your Mustang looks cool:cool:!

Okay I'm hoping more of you will post today. Let's get up and do some breaths. It will really help. I'll check back later!

Threads 03-14-2001 07:30 PM

YES! I am so proud of myself. I just finished the Bodyflex excerises. I have been talking myself out of it all day. I kept reasoning (?) not doing them because I would be getting the "O" tapes in a couple of weeks. Well, Easter is coming and the dress I want to wear isn't getting any bigger, so I have to get smaller. I won't be doing a couple of the neck stretches as it irrates the lump in my throat. I suppose I better think about getting supper. My hubby isn't one to go out to eat. I guess I have spoiled him. Have a great evening.!

ras8779 03-15-2001 10:38 AM

Good Morning everyone!

Threads-Way to go on getting that breathing in:)! It doesn't matter if it's BF or O it's the oxygen that matters and I applaud you for starting on your exercise plan now. Once you get your O tapes you can even use both of them and switch back and forth. I've done that before. Sometimes I'll do the 9 minutes advanced when I don't have time for the O tape in morning and it helps fit in those breaths and getting the blood oxygenated. Hey that dress will probably be too loose when the event arrives:)! You're doing a great job. Keep it up.

Okay I hope everyone else can check in soon:)! Where did you all go? Post when you get the chance and keep breathing:)!

I did my L2 this morning. I like doing this one because it moves quicker then the others and it's easier for me to fit it in, in the morning. It also has great positions that target some of my most troubled areas:)! I'll check back later. Keep breathing everyone!

ageoldie 03-19-2001 09:48 PM

Okay has everyone dried up, or left the country? I know Rose and I like to keep up with each other, but what about everyone else? Well Rose :( I know you will not desert me, even when you are so thin you can hide behind the telephone pole. Right

ras8779 03-20-2001 12:07 PM

Hi Everyone!

Or should I say where is everyone?

Barbg-No I will never desert you! I have a sinus infection that is killing me so it's been hard to O! I wasn't at work yesterday and didn't get on the computer much this weekend so that's why I haven't been posting. Things have gotten quiet in here that's for sure. I'm glad you're hanging in there with me Barb:D! I would be so lonely by now. I'm going to try to do some O! tonight but I'm not sure how much of it. It seems like everyone is sick around here. Allot of people have pneumonia. That would be worse. So I guess I'm grateful it's only sinuses. Thanks for being here Barb:)!

Hey now everyone else come back. Give us a post and let us know how you are doing. Don't give up. You will see results.

Threads 03-20-2001 12:38 PM

Here I am!! I have been down in the dumps. Yesterday was my biopsy on the lymph node, in my neck. I may know the results by this evening. I am planning to do BF this afternoon. I think I will combine the "O" and BF with a high protien diet. Meat and veggies. I talked to a nurse today and she said that if you don't have high clostral it is a good diet,,,also use common sense. Have a great day. Threads

waterbaby 03-20-2001 02:50 PM

Hey!

Another prodigal back from the breathing wars! :)

Still plugging away. Have had a series of respiratory infections since November -- bad sinuses and living in middle Tennessee, I guess.

Hope everyone is fab. My life is good and I'm keeping breathing. I've had to tighten my diet because I stopped shrinking, then realized that my muscles were about as tight as they could get with all that intramuscular fat still in the way, so I'm working diligently to lose some more fluff!

I'll post more regularly. Glad to see you, Barb and you Rose are still at it!

Hugs!

Hey there everybody! Hope you all are doing well! Haven't O!ed lately, but I don't want to get away from this board. Staying on this board will help get me motivated to continue.

I have been studying the Myers Briggs personality types and mine is ENFP... apparently we have the tendency to start things and not finish them... so maybe that's why I have so many problems with staying on a diet.. hmmmmmmmmm :spin:

My schedule will be slowing down over the next few weeks, so at least I should have more time to O!

Congratulations to all of you who are keeping up with it!

ageoldie 03-20-2001 10:00 PM

Claire I've missed you. I'm beginning to think I have ESP and it's almost scaring me. I thought about you this morning and decided to see if I could find your email addy and see if I couldn't get you back ! And what happens when I turn on the machine? You're Here!!!

I bought a new book the other day and it's really great if you like water. It called "Water Dance" and it's awesome.

I put on a dress today that I hadn't had on for a while and I couldn't believe the difference in the way it fit. Yipeee!!! I knew I was O'ing for a reason.

Threads and Juilette, see, it may take a while and sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my time, but then there are days like today and I know I'll never give up my O!!!

Rose, Hope you feel better.

ras8779 03-21-2001 10:18 AM

Good Morning Oers!

Claire-Welcome back. I've missed you too! You are always such a motivator:)! I'm glad you haven't forgotten about us or O! I hope to see your posts more often now. Your energy is contagious.

Barbg-I'm feeling better today thanks:)! I even managed to do L2 this morning and I think that has helped me feel even better. I'm glad you are seeing those awesome results with O. It really does work and it does help you feel better too. I can really feel my muscles getting stronger and stronger.

Juliette-I'm glad you posted:)! I was wondering what happened to you. I too have a tendency to start things and then not finish but with O it's been different. I think the key to my staying with it, is that I do it first thing in the morning. I find that if I don't I won't do it later on so it's been working so far. I don't even miss the extra sleep anymore. In fact I feel worse when I sleep in and don't O! Remember we're always here and we'll help you get back on track:)!

Okay so I'm feeling better and the O! really helped me this morning. I do miss it when I don't do it in the morning. I feel so "lazy" when I don't O so it must be doing something good for me! Keep Oeing everybody and check in when you can.

Lucidone 03-22-2001 12:32 PM

Morning O!

I did it! I O!'d this morning! I am so excited! I actually woke up early enough to do it! Hopefully this will be the start of a new trend! :D

ras8779 03-23-2001 10:34 AM

Happy Friday Everybody!

Juliette-Way to go! I knew you could do it:D! Just keep it up now and you'll start to feel really great. I did my L2 this morning although I was a little lazy but it felt so good to stretch. It really loosens me up. I do L2 because it goes quicker then most of the other videos that I have plus I like it but on the weekends I try to do my abs/upper body or my L4. I like both of those. The ab video is very challenging and I sure can feel it when I'm done. Thanks for posting and hope to see more posts from you:)!

Threads-Any word on your biopsy? I'm saying prayers for you and I'm sending you good thoughts. I hope all is well please post and let us know. We're here for you:D!

Barbg and Claire-What are you gals up too? I hope you're getting in some O! time. Check in when you get the chance. I know it's Friday but maybe I can get some time to post over the weekend. That would be nice. Things get so quiet on here over the weekends. Have a good day:)!

Okay off to do some work. Have a happy Friday everybody and I'll check back later:)!

Lucidone 03-26-2001 10:51 AM

Morning O!

Well, I did it again! I O!d this morning. And, I took my measurements. Gonna keep track of all of it. Trying to watch what I eat now too. Going to try a low-carb diet of sorts... can't do it all the way cause I love carbs too much, but cutting down on them at least! It's been interesting that I've been able to survive dinners with just meat and a vegetable. It's really not that bad...

Well, I plan to O! again tomorrow morning too! I had such a great morning today, that I won't be able to help it! I woke up, did my O! then had grapefruit and toast while I wrote in my journal... it was so peaceful! Plus, the dog was outside while I exercised, so I didn't have to worry about him licking my face during the floor exercises :nono:

ras8779 03-26-2001 11:38 AM

Good Morning Oers!

Juliette-Way to go:)! I told you it's so much easier to stick with O when you do it in the mornings. I did my L2 this morning. I think I might have gotten too much sleep over the weekend. I had a very lazy weekend. I didn't do much of anything which is good sometimes. I did manage to exercise and do O though. That's about the only thing that saved me. Keep it up you're doing great!

Claire and Barbg-How are you doing? Check in please it's been a while:)!

Threads-I'm worried about you:(! Please check in and let us know what's going on.

I hope you all managed some heavy breathing today;)!

Threads 03-26-2001 01:36 PM

Thank you for all the prayers! Surgery is tomorrow at about 1:00 p.m. The biopsy was inconclusive so the lymph node is coming out. It was going to have to come out anyway as it is annoying me. I don't think it is cancer. I have no other lumps or bumps (other than a few fat rolls) and my red an white blood counts are normal. I have to confess that I haven't been excercising though. Oh well after this is all over. I have been losing a few pounds. PTL! Take care. and thank you again for the support.

ras8779 03-26-2001 06:57 PM

Threads,
I'm so glad you posted. I will keep you in my prayers and I'm sure the surgery will go well. Please post as soon as you are able to let us know how you are doing. And remember we are here for you whenever you need to talk. Here's to your fast recovery. God bless:D!

Rose is right, we all will keep you in our thought and prayers tomorrow. Please post again as soon as you feel like it because we are all concerned for you.

ras8779 03-27-2001 10:36 AM

Hi all you Oers!

It's getting kind of lonely on here. I know everyone has been busy but drop in and say hi:D!

I didn't get any O time in this morning. I woke up and my head was so congested I could barely breath let alone do O! Maybe tonight I'll be able to get some in. I did manage to do some stretching without the breaths but it's just not the same. I hate allergy season:mad:! I hope everyone is doing well and has been able to get some O in.

Threads-My thoughts and prayers are with you:).

Hi Barbg:)! I'm glad to see you're still hanging in there with us.

Juliette-Hows it going? Check in when you can. I hope you did some O for me this morning;)!

Okay I'll check back later but now it's time for work.

Lucidone 03-27-2001 11:30 AM

Morning O!

Yes Rose! I O!d for you this morning. In fact, I even did L2 - your favorite!

I have really been enjoying it in the mornings. In fact, this morning I practically leapt out of bed in anticipation of doing it.

I just keep reminding myself that I lose an inch all over if I do it consistently for a week... I pray that will keep me motivated!

Also did the 8 minute Tae Bo workout afterwards. Great way to start the day!

Threads - I hope your surgery went OK. Must be especially difficult with everything so inconclusive. But I know you'll pull through with flying colors!

Barbg and Rose - Thanks for always continuing to post. It is so good to know that there is always a hO!me here to come back to - even when I slack off a little.

But, I shouldn't be slacking off too much anymore... With the weather getting warmer and the sun out longer, it energizes me more....

Well, back to work. Have a great day everybody!

ras8779 03-28-2001 11:54 AM

Hi everyone!

Juliette-It's great to see your post:)! I'm glad you enjoy oeing in the mornings as much as I do. Hey I do the 8 minute Tae Bo's too. Which one do you have? I have three of the 8 minute tapes. I bought two off of EBay. Just because I like the 8 minute tapes and don't want to buy the whole package to get it. It worked out for me.:) It really does get your heart rate up there. I did my L2 this morning. I'm thinking of doing L4 tomorrow just for variety. If I didn't do O in the morning I would end up not doing it at all. I'm glad you're doing so well and sticking with it. An inch a week is awesome:)! And you will always have a home here. Me and Barbg will make sure you do. Post when you can.

Barbg-How are you doing out there?

Claire-Where did you go? Check in when you can.

SusanR-Are you still out there. I know you are such a busy woman. Check in when you can. I miss your motivation on here:).

Okay I have a ton of work to do but I had to say hi to my Oxycise gals. Hang in there and keep breathing:)!

Threads 03-28-2001 04:38 PM

Ouch!!!! I can now say that I have had my throat cut! They (doctors) decided to do a CAT scan just before surgery. What they found was scary. More enlarged lymph nodes. That wasn't a good sign. So then they did another ultra sound and drew a pattern on my neck. (being a seamstress I could appreciate having a pattern before cutting) The patholigist stayed after hours and did the test to see if I have cancer. Praise the Lord,,,it came back negative. Now to wait for the 3" incission to heal. I hope to get my "O" tapes this week..I have a question,,,when you are talking about losing a inch a week (if done daily) do you mean a total of one inch or a inch in each area? Well I am getting dizzy so I guess I will go lay down. Thank you for the prayers.

ras8779 03-28-2001 05:19 PM

Threads,
I saw your post and had to reply. I'm so glad everything it okay:)! I'm glad no cancer was found. I'm sorry you have to go through so much discomfort and I hope you heal quickly. Make sure you take time to fully recover. I know you're anxious to get started with O but make sure you take your time. We'll still be here. Have a great day and get some rest:)!

Lucidone 03-28-2001 06:27 PM

On a Roll!

O!d again this morning! Unfortunately, didn't have enough time to do a whole tape. Did everything but the floor part of L2. Also, I'm going out of town tomorrow and Friday, so I have to remember to follow the book and do it in the evenings for those two days. Just can't believe that I"ve been able to keep up with it!!! I think it has something to do with the weather getting warmer...

Threads - your surgery description made me shiver. You are very courageous for going through that! I'm glad you are up and about though! Also glad that there is no cancer!

When I say I lost an inch, it is usually in one or two place. I measure: waist, hips, chest, arms, thighs, and normally at least two of those areas will go down 1/2 an inch to a full inch in that week. Most of the time, if someone says they've lost 16 inches, it normally means total in all areas.

You guys may not hear from me for a few days, but I will be back! Keep on O!ing!

ageoldie 03-28-2001 11:34 PM

Threads So glad the report came back negative. You have been in my prayers.
Okay everyone, I'm glad you're all over your sinus infections and colds. Now it's my turn. Finally went to the doctor today and she said she really couldn't see into my sinuses very well because my ears and nose were so swollen with infection. Great huh?? Anyway I've had two doses of antibotic and am beginning to feel better. I hope that by Sunday or Monday I will be over this and able to get back to O'ing.
Yes, Rose and I will always be here. I may not lose much at times, but I can be a great cheerleader!!!
Keep up the good work all of you.

ras8779 03-29-2001 04:24 PM

Hello everyone!

Okay ladies I didn't O this morning. I was sore from my workout last night and (I'll admit it) a little lazy. Well I can still do it tonight. Maybe a little abs/upper body is just what I need.

Juliette-You are doing so awesome:D! Way to go on sticking with the O! Give yourself a pat for such a good job. Those inches will be falling off you.

Barbg-I'm glad you're hanging in here with us. I'd miss you if you didn't.

Take care everyone. Work calls.

ras8779 03-30-2001 12:18 PM

I only have a hot second to post. Real busy today which isn't fair on a FRIDAY!

Anyway I managed to do my abs/upper body video last night:)! I was so happy that I did it. I felt so much better afterwards. However this morning I woke up with cramps and didn't have the energy to workout. I will try to do one of the tapes tonight though. I hope you all are getting in some O time! Please post when you can:)!

waterbaby 04-02-2001 03:31 PM

Wow! It's been busy in here!

Threads -- thank the Lord that you're going to be fine. Prayers for your speedy complete recovery:)

Barbg -- I haven't deserted the ship. I'm just now beginning to feel better. Rampant allergies are what caused all the sinus infections

I'm on two antihistamines, one whopping decongestant and have restarted ER4YT to boost my immune system and help me feel better. When I followed it four years ago, I never felt better, had energy galore and slept like a rock. All this while the unfaithful husband (now ex) was on his way out the door...:s:

that was then, this is now and I have an  for a spouse. But the program DID work and if it could work for me through all that stress, it will work even better through allergies:D

I'm breathing enough better that I'm back to my commuter tape. From there, I plan to boost my workout to include one of Jill's videotapes. Love 'em!!!

Rose, you just keep on getting better and better. Thanks to you and Barbg for keeping the thread going.

Now that I'm approaching normalcy again  I'll post more often.

Hugs!

Hi everyone!

Claire-It was so great to see your post:)! Hey where did you find all the cute new smilies? I can't seem to locate the new legend board on this new board yet? I'm so glad you are feeling better. Allergies are the worst. I know, I've been there and done that. It's so hard to breath at all let alone do O! But I'm glad you are back and getting back into O:D! It's been lonely without you.

Barbg-How are you doing? It's been a while since we've heard from you. Check in when you can.:)

Threads-How is the recovery coming? I know it must be painful. I hope you are back to 100% soon and can join us.:) Get well soon.

Juliette-Are you still Oeing in the mornings? I know you are you are so motivated:)! It sure was hard to do this morning but I did it. I'm glad I did too.

Okay I need to get back to work. Another busy day:mad: but at least the time is flying by. Keep Oeing everyone and post when you can:)!

Back!

Hey everybody!

Ok, so I slacked when I went on my business trip. Drove three hours in torrential downpours and didn't get to the hotel till 10:30... Then, of course the weekend came, and oh well!

BBBBUUUUTTTT!!!! All of my hard work last week payed off anyway! I lost 2 inches!!!! 1 from my hips, 1/2 from my thighs and 1/2 from my arms!!! So excited!!!! Also, down two pounds, and it feels great!

Of course I have been watching what I eat, but I also have had my moments of weakness... a few slices of pizza here, a Wendy's value meal there... but the O! must be balancing all that out.

In fact, I am so excited about the weight loss that I am going to adjust my weight in my signature to reflect the 10 pounds I gained in the last three months from NOT sticking with O! or eating right... as I struggled to get into "diet mode"

Didn't get to O! this morning, but will definitely do it tonight!

Everybody take care!

Threads 04-03-2001 04:56 PM

Life is good!! I am so glad to be feeling better. I had the stitches taken out on Saturday. My "little ones" in Sunday school were impressed with my scar. I need to get with the program and start the breathing excerises. I still haven't gotten the "O" tapes, but I shouldn't use that as an excuse as I do have the bodyflex ones. You are an inspiration, so I will start doing SOMETHING. Thank you for the prayers this last week. Just before surgury they discoved other enlarges lymph nodes but the results were in my favor. Keep me accountable,,okay? Threads-----PS it is finally getting to be Springtime in Wyoming!!YES!!

Checking In

Hi everyone. Clare What is EN4YT? Is it a diet supplement, a book, a diet plan? I don't think I've ever heard of it.
I've had a bad sinus infection this past week and couldn't breat hardly at all, much less O, but I'm feeling better now. I started Saturday doing weight training at the health club. I have to use the machines, I can't remember well enough to use freeweights. I'd stand in one spot and look at the weights and go DUHHHHHHH, I'm supposed to do WHAT with them???? The machines have instructions on them and only let you do thing one way.

I'm also getting ready to change my diet/eating plan. The delivered pre-prepared food has gotten boringggg...
Hope I remember how to cook.

waterbaby 04-04-2001 08:24 AM

Hey!

Barbg, I certainly understand about sinus infections. OW!

ER4YT and LR4YT are "Eat Right 4 Your Type" and "Live Right 4 Your Type" a program of lifestyle changes and diet for an individual's blood type. It's the only thing that ever worked long-term for me and made me healthy in addition to thinner. I have a thread started on the Buddies forum. Real food, inexpensive. He also makes recommendations for herbal and vitamin supplementation which you can purchase on your own or get his particular brand. It's still inexpensive and the health benefits far outweigh any cost.

Hope you feel better soon! I'm just getting to where I can get through the commuter tape without coughing spells (allergies).

Threads -- so glad you are on the mend!

Rose -- how's it Oing?

Everyone else -- have a great day! This exercise program is the best!
