Default Elbow strain from throwing basketball into hoop @ age of 40Something---Ouchy

My right elbow really hurts. I can't even carry groceries for too long with this arm. I have Never worn a cast in my Entire life. The other month I was crossing in the crosswalk when this out of control van cut me off mid way, and going the wrong direction. So I fell in mid of the cross walk. When I fell my palms saved my tailbone from hitting the hard cement. Since several months ago my elbows felt jammed up, but I had x ray taken and no break seen. Then the other day I played Around the Whirled basketball at my gym, all by myself. After I was done, and I did fairly well for a near sighted 40Something y/o woman whose never really shot baskets since her 20's. After I finished shooting baskets my right elbow immediately had a burning in the joint sensation. I use epsom salt soaks, and motrin but the pain has been in my elbow now for the last 3 weeks. What should I do? I really enjoyed playing this old Elementary School basketball warm up game by myself. It kind of brought back old school day memoriez...I felt younger and more alive until my elbow started having severe pain...Oh well???Now what??? I was just worried that I snapped my elbow or something and something may nave broken like a celery snaps in half. I hope my arm recovers soon. How does one even warm up before throwing a basketball? Anyhow, that 1 time i played for 30 mins and was more sweaty than when i had done the stairmaster....
