Default Hey girls!

Debbie:
I'm here hun, I only posted 4 hours before you did yesterday!! lol :0)

Sherrie:
Mom lives in Raeford (By Fayetteville and FT. Bragg) I'm flying into Raleigh and we're gonna drive to Raeford, it was 75.00 cheaper so what the heck that is atleast 2 days of a rental car lol I will be taking my daughter Cierra who is almost 2 and the boys are staying with daddy...it's gonna be a boy's week without the girls kinda thing. They are upset that they don't get to see Nana and Papa, but Cierra ride's for free and that's the only reason she's going lol I may be going up to VA to kings dominion are you anywhere near there? I'm only gonna be there for about 6 days (since arriving late and leaving fairly early) so I'm not sure if I'll have the time to do it but if I do maybe we could get together and meet? I know I just met ya but it was just an idea :0) Talk to ya soon

Hi Cris, Danielle, and Skinnysherrie, CRIS, have a lovely trip! I meant we'd miss you when you were gone... 6 days without your normal responsibilities will be lovely, won't it? Relaxing, refreshing, hey, can I go with you? SKINNYSHERRIE, I'm gonna keep calling you your new name, because you need to hear it! I may rename myself gettingsupportandgettinghealthy -you like it? I'm glad you are looking forward to your goal with anticipation. You can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm glad for your friendship and encouragement, because you have been where I am-frustated with your weight and wanting to do something about it... DANIELLE, WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?! Gotta run, hubby's home...

Hi Skinnysherrie and Cris and Danielle (wherever you are!) Skinnysherrie. How long have you been losing? I heard somone say that the best way for long term weight loss was to take a break on the weekend...if you've been at this a long time, maybe a break would be good. I know what you mean though about trying to get back on track afterwards ... flu last week.. couldn't eat much one day.. was REALLY hungry the next day.. ate everything in sight, I think....pms... bloating... now I'm feeling better.. and what do I want to eat ?...just about anything I shouldn't..... I weighed this morning, gained 1#. Considering the last few days I'm thankful it wasn't more.. didn't feel like exercising for 2 days... BUT today was better... I didn't eat everything in sight (just wanted to) and weigh in next Monday should be better... P.S. DON'T forget how far you've come! And DON'T be too hard on yourself... You will get back on track. I will end with a quote from Prevention magazine "You've come too far in life to be ordered around by a cookie!" (or chips or anything else)"Talk to you tomorrow"

Default Hi Debbie...

I just loved that quote! And I think you are right, I have come too far to fail now. It seems as though the last few lbs. are the hardest.

I also think you are right about taking breaks every now and then. That way I dont feel like I am giving up everything I like just to lose weight.

Thank you sooo very much for your friendship and support! You are stuck with me now and I will always be here for you... till next time my friend...

Default Doing better today...

I did not walk on my treadmill sat., sun., or mon. I feel as though I need to confess. On mon., I actually thought about giving up on my goal. My daughter has been sick with a tummy ache all day and my stress about that is at a alltime high. But...I am happy to say that I decided not to give up! I have worked too hard and too long not to reach my goal. You know, I was even rationalizing it saying, "I am 130 and 5'3" that is skinny enough".No ...no...no, I will reach my goal. My hard work and determination will reward me with my goal. Does anyone else have down times like these??? They are hard to get over but believe it or not...I feel sooo much better today now that I know I have done my 4 mile walk. I even have more energy than when I dont walk. Do y'all feel the same??? It seems strange to me... Thanks for listening...

Hi everyone! Sherrie, I needed to hear that! I'm struggling to get some kind of exercise done today... I have a crummy headache and I'm really tired ... a LOT of running around in the car today. My daughter is sick and she needed some stuff... I needed to go get some groceries... I had to go somewhere else.... I've been in 3 towns today and I feel like I've been in the car all day. NOTHING drains me of energy more than that!!!!!!So, I'm so glad you got on your treadmill. Now I am encouraged to go outside and walk-I NEED the fresh air! But I also need the energy it will give me.You are so right about that part.... And yes, when I am having a tough day, I frequently think about giving up. This is hard work and when you are drained from sick children or riding in a car, your emotions are saying "I can't do anymore!" But reality is , we both need this exercise to be able to meet the demands of our day and we need to eat healthy energy giving foods for the same reason. (I think I needed to hear that ) . So, now I'm going outside!!! Thanks for listening, my friend!

Hi Gang! I too am a Treadmiller...you guys walk a lot! I walk daily, but am pushing myself to do a miserable 1 mile a day, at 2.5-3.00 MPH.

Will promise and commit to doing 2 miles a day (in two 21 minute stints, starting tomorrow...)

I am inspired, and haven't even finished paying for the treadmill yet - it's a ProForm, and cost $1,500.00 (Canadian). I feel it was a good investment, but have only had it since Feb. 2nd, of this yr.

Better walk more and get my money's worth! I really enjoy the convenience of not having to get all dressed up to walk outdoors tho. A pair of old shorts and a sleevless top, and watch TV, what a way to exercise, no fuss!

I weigh 207, and it's been a long battle for me - to lose weight, up and down, and trying NOT to obsess about losing, I want to have a life, and socialize, and exercise and lose weight that way!

Kermit.

Default Hi Debbie and Kermit...

Debbie,
When I check here and I see where you have posted it also helps me to keep going. I guess cause I know that you are gonna ask how I did today I feel accountable to you...(you kinda keep me inline)

I totally understand the sick kid thing. I have 3 and when they are sick I am down and out. I almost need a vacation after going through the flu with all my kids...

Kermit,
We will all succeed in our goals! Support is a major thing when you are trying to lose weight! And no one understands unless they have had a weight problem.

Your treadmill cost alot more than mine did! Mine is the kmart special. I paid $400 for it about 3 yrs ago. My hubbys friends told him not to buy it that it was a waste of $$$. Boy were they wrong I am happy to say. I use it faithfully! With having 3 kids I never have to worry about taking them out in the cold or the heat. On the summer days, I still use the treadmill but then I take a easy walk with my kids to the park. Its nice and they love taking our time going to the park. They hate when I walk to fast.

I walk 4 miles at least 5 if not 6 or 7 each week at 4.0 miles an hour. I started off slow though when I started. I walk on my treadmill sooo much that hubby told his friends he has to buy a new belt for mine. The belt is almost worn out. I sure hope it lasts till I get a new one cause I would be lost without it. Hubbys friends are eating their words now! I am looking good and getting skinny and I USE the darn thing...unlike their wives....Have a great night and KEEP MOVING!!!

Hi Skinnysherrie and Kermit, Sherrie, I walked OUTSIDE last night for 50 minutes and then did some toning exercises. It helped my headache, but it is back today.....so I ate chocolate. That helped alot now, didn't it? At least it was low fat........ You sound good today. Hope you're eating healthy and having a good day! Kermit, Welcome! Don't worry about not going as fast or as far as anyone else. Just work at your fitness level and improve it. I only go 2 1/2 -3 mph when I use the treadmill. I also do aerobics and weight training. When I first started, I could only walk a mile, and it took FOREVER! And I could barely get through a 20 minute aerobic video-a really easy beginner's video! I can now do a lot more physically- I can do a 45 min. video pretty easily. But I have not lost weight, YET. So I try to focus on what I have accomplished and keep trying to learn and change.... some days it's tough and the chocolate calls my name, but I don't listen as much as I used to. And I am learning to drink water. And I am convinced that water is sooo important. I actually get thirsty when I don't have 8 glasses a day now..... Oh, I am going on aren't I? Guess it's time to go.
