Arm Exercises

Since I have gained so much weight my arms are quite big and flabby, I was wondering what types of exercises would help so they don't stay this way forever :/ I'm unable to go to a gym (I'm a student so I don't really have the money), but I do have hand weights which are 2kg (4.4lbs). Any exercises that I can do at home would be fantastic, thank you so much for your time and help! :)

Hey,

You can't spot train. You can make your arms look a bit tighter by doing heavy exercises (aka, the weights you have won't work). Use your body weight for moves like push ups, tri-cept dips using your couch ect.. (google body weight exercises).

Your body is going to choose where it wants to take fat off of. You could run everyday and fat could be coming off your arms before it comes off your legs!

I 100% understand that you cannot spot train, I just don't want to lose weight everywhere and have flabby arms, haha. I will definitely Google body weight exercises :) Thanks!

In my P90X routine there's arms and shoulders and they really work. You don't need a lot of weight, the weights you have now would work. I found an exercise band is awesome because you can adjust the tension yourself by looping it and stepping on it. Here's some of the things you can do:

Alternating Shoulder Press
In & Out Bicep Curls
Two-arm Tricep Kickbacks
Deep Swimmer’s Press
Full Supination Concentration Curls
Chair Dips
Upright Row
Static Arm Curls
Flip-Grip Twist Tricep Kickbacks
Two-angle Shoulder Flyes
Crouching Cohen Curls
Lying-down Tricep Extensions
In & Out Straight-arm Shoulder Flyes
Congdon Curls
and Side Tri-Rises

Oh, I'm definitely going to have to try these! I was looking at an exercise band today, I might have to go back and buy it!

Bands are great! Bodyweight exercises are awesome for arms, too. Tricep dips, pushups, planks etc... all work arms and the rest of the body :). I like killing more than one bird with a stone!

Not only weights--but you can do a couple of sets of push-up's--and reverse that by working off of a coffee table for the back of your arms. Of course--hand weights are great for your bi-cepts. Here are some more tips for arm exercises.
