Daily workout app on iPhone

So recently I discovered a series of free apps in the iPhone app store for daily workouts. There's a daily ab, daily butt, and there's actually a daily "full" workout with various cardio, ab, butt, arm and leg exercises. I've been playing around with this and actually seem to get more out of it than I felt like I was getting out of my elliptical! I really like it; I get more of a variety and it seems like something I can stick with for a bit until I get tired of doing that and start going to the gym again.

I just don't know how to count the calories for it! If I just do a cardio workout then I just put in "High impact aerobics" because all the exercises are high impact cardio exercises, but for the other ones I don't really know what it counts as in order to put it in my calorie counter. The other exercises body-resistance exercises like crunches, butt bridges, squats, etc etc. Should I put low-impact aerobics for those or calisthenics or what?

I love these apps. I actually bought the full version ones for arms, abs and butt! I only use them for strength training so that's how I log them. It's not a ton of calories burned, I use it mainly to keep track of the weights I use/time for the next go around.

Calculating calories burned from exercise is notoriously inaccurate. The best exercise machines and apps can do is make an educated guess.

Choose an exercise that's similar when you count calories for it.

How do I NOT know about these?!?!?!?! :) What's the name of them? I could DEF use these during weekend get aways or time's I'm not at home or near a gym. Thanks!

I know MFP is probably inaccurate as far as exercise calories go but Ive been going by that all this time and it seems to have been working for me. I just didn't know what to categorize the exercises as. Like to make it more clear, I know I can search "Elliptical" and it will give me X amount of calories burned for the amount of time I put in. (30min burns X cals) but for the app exercises that aren't cardio, it kind of is a series of exercises and depending on the workout length time I choose, I do each exercise for as little as 30 seconds or as long as a minute or 2 and I'd rather just out in that I did, say, 30min of "body exercises" or whatever the actual name for those is lol. Are they called calisthenics?
