I use my "retired" running shoes for walking.... But New Balance makes lots of great walking specific shoes...

That's a great consideration regarding more cushioning vs. minimalist. The shoes I have don't offer much in the way of arch support and cushioning, might be a welcome change.

It's funny... I hate minimalist shoes.... We are just all so different...

I got some Puma's for about 45, they're CRAZY light. I bought them on Amazon and they were less or more expensive depending on the color scheme. I love them though.

I used to wear toners, but I'm afraid I'll sprain my ankles because of their height. (Second thumbnail) I still wear my toners for everyday walking :)
