OK, that felt great!

  • I am back to where I was about 11 months ago with my fitness DESPITE being 20 pounds heavier.

Just did a stepping class after a 7 month hiatus and it seemed easier than I ever remember it. I have been doing other fitness stuff.

Ah, it feels great to feel like I'm getting stronger and fitter! Even my husband admitted that I'm fitter than he is right now. Ha! (But he's working on it too).

And I love that we do this together (getting fit) as I have plans for us once we are empty nesters!
  • thats awesome! i wish i had a workout partner too
  • I love it! This is the way I think success comes to you. You have to think on terms of things that makes you feel good, fitter, more agile, healthier in general, as in the long run you will be more willing to continue doing those things and you will feel better with yourself. Keep going.
  • for you!
  • I read this thread on my phone yesterday so it's a pain to reply and then couldn't use the search function to find it again when I got home, so frustrating!!

I wanted you to know I smiled the whole time I read this post. You are so inspirational, Melissa. You have no idea how your posts make me want to work myself harder and get my body stronger. I tend to focus on the scale number but your posts are teaching me not to just take that into consideration.

I did giggle that you are fitter than your husband. My husband and I are competitive in a fun way too, only 15 more pounds til I finally weigh less than him. He's 3 inches taller than me so he will be thinner (plus he's more built and muscular) but I will just be happy to weigh less than him!!
