  • Day 5 of Week/Level 1 complete! Whew, I increased my weight on several exercises and it was tough. I'm planning to do day 6 tomorrow then rest day, then on to week/level 2. I like to take a rest day each week from strength training and I noticed on the DVD that Jillian also recommends that so I'm going to maintain that strategy.

Pink Hurricane - If you want to do a Ripped and 6W6P combo together I'm game.
  • I think rest days are definitely vital especially when doing strength training. And yeah I would definitely be game for doing a combo together, that would be awesome! Tomorrow morning I am going to do my first combo for sure!
  • Level 1 Day 6 done. Now for rest day tomorrow and then on to Level 2 on Friday!!! I can't wait to see what she has in store for me.
  • I'm struggling with not working out on my rest day today! What has happened to me? I used to have difficulty getting motivated to work out and now I have to fight the urge.
  • Day 1 of week 2. Boy did she kick it up a notch on this one!
  • I think it may be down to just me in this thread now

At any rate, I completed day 2 of week 2 and it is HARD!!!!
  • Day 3 of week 2 complete! The ab exercises on this one are nuts! I'm doing the advanced on all of them and everytime I'm tempted to move to the modified version but you can't go backwards. As Jillian says, change happens when you're uncomfortable.

I'm going to start 6W6P tonight too. I think I'll add that 3 days a week (maybe every other day). We'll see how that goes. Is anyone else doing or starting RI30 or 6W6P?
  • I am in the middle of 30DS and would like to try Ri30 next. Jillian is great, she sure kicks my ***! Have you been noticing results?
  • Welcome DRose! I have definitely been noticing results, both in strength/stamina and physical appearance.

I completed Week 2 Day 4 today. Yesterday I did RI30 and 6 week 6 pack which was tough. That 6W6P is no joke. My core strength has definitely improved. I can crank out those "Rocky-style" sit ups (as Jillian calls them) now with no problem whereas I couldn't have done 1 without someone holding my feet down when I first started 30 day shred. I also started 30DS with 3 lb weights and struggled. Today on RI30 I used 8 lb weights for everything and 10s for 1 exercise so definite strength gains happening. I'm also not using the "modifications anymore.
  • Day 5 of week 2 complete. I have 1 more day left on this level and then a rest day before moving to week 3.
  • Hey bunnabear! Glad to see you are sticking with it! Can't wait to hear about your results.

As for me... Well I realized why there aren't many threads on this video. I think it's an amazing routine but when I reached week 2 I was not able to perform some of the exercises not because of my abilities but literally it was physically impossible due to my weight/proportions. For instance the move where you lift your butt off the floor and move your hips out and up. My butt is too big and my arms are too short. I had similar type issues with some other moves and if I'm only going to work out for half hour I can't afford to waist time by skipping moves.

I am doing banish fat boost metabolism and no more trouble zones which are about 45 minutes and I can do all the moves. My new official mini goal is to lose enough weight to be able to do all the exercises and complete ripped in 30.

That move is crazy! I just got to the point yesterday, day 6, where my butt didn't touch the ground at all (before it would brush as I transitioned from one position to the other). It was a proud moment.

Today is my rest day, then on to Week 3!
  • I completed my first day of Week 3 today and it was definitely a completely different level of difficult. I am afraid of what my body will feel like tomorrow. It was most certainly a test of my motivation to complete this plan, but I got through day 1. I shudder to think what Week 4 will bring. I'm longing for my days of 30 Day Shred.
  • Good news, I'm functional today. Sore, but functional. I'm hoping I can soldier on through day 2.

    Update: Day 2 complete!!!!
  • Day 3 of week 3 done. I reached a milestone today. There is a move in week three where you start from a standing position, go down onto your bottom, then roll back onto your back, perform a reverse crunch with legs straight in the air, then roll back up to standing. Today was the first time I was able to do that move without using my hands to assist me back up. I even added the jump at the end. It was a proud moment.
