Picking a gym
 

I am having a really hard time picking a gym.
I haven't been able to pick one that has everything that I think I need (while staying on my budget).

I need one that offers showers - I'll be heading to work after working out a couple times per week.
I need one that offers a child play area - for the days that I can't make it to the gym until the afternoon.
I want one that is close to work or home.
I want one that offers classes as well as equipment.
I do not want an all-women gym - I've done that before. We women can be extremely judgemental... no offense, just experience.

Anyone have any good/bad experiences with gyms that would like to share with me?
So many gyms have extremely conflicting online reviews.

City/State would be helpful. Sometimes it's the local gyms that have the better amenities.
