I work out every day. Sometimes once. Sometimes three times a day.

On three-times-a-day days, I will do weight training in the morning, run 5K before lunch and play squash or tennis in the evening.

Nuts.

But the ol' body takes it.

I work out 5 days a week. Usually Jazzercise 1 hour classes--but when I miss a class--I am downstairs on the elliptical or treadmill.

I'm trying to discipline myself to workout 5 days a week for the rest of the summer.

I do cardio and weight-training, and the time usually totals to around 1hr 30min per workout.

So far I've been sticking to it.

Once the school year starts though, it may change to 4 times a week. It depends on how busy I end up being.

Weights - 2x a week, full body 5x5 lifting routine
Cardio - up to 3x week, 40 minutes each

I consume anywhere from 900-1,200 calories a day, so that's enough of a calorie deficit.

0 per week... oh GOSH, I need motivation badly... :(

amandie 07-17-2013 12:39 AM

When I first started out, it was 5-6 days a week but it has been very off/on up until 2 weeks ago, did Insanity 6 days a week up. Now, with my knee issues- 0 since Saturday! :(

devadiva 07-17-2013 07:37 AM

Trying to take one day a week off,but usually at least hike 2 hrs on those days. I Like to exercise 2 hrs a day.

Right now I mainly get in a 30 minute walk (sometimes really fast) as many days as I can each week. Sometimes I do it twice in one day. I'm happy to say I've walked every single day in July so far.

mlk58 07-17-2013 04:38 PM

I do six days a week: An hour with the trainer twice a week, and the other four days I do a 45-minute boot camp class.

ChickieBoom 07-17-2013 04:47 PM

I work out at least 3 times a week but I walk home from work Monday through Friday too...it's about a 30 minute walk at a brisk pace.

ChickieBoom 07-17-2013 04:48 PM

OMG Ian...you look amazing!

Zeenie 07-21-2013 04:47 AM

I work out everyday of the week with an occasional rest day once every two weeks. I do cardio everyday (running 5-10 K or a spin class) and weights 3-4 days a week

Snoofie 07-22-2013 12:29 PM

I'm just getting back on track (I have 20 pounds to re-lose...oops!) I'm going to aim for an hour of cardio every day and resistance training 3 days a week for 45 minutes. That sounds like a lot, but I figure if I aim for that much, if I miss a day here or there it won't be that detrimental. *L*

I started on Saturday and so far, so good. I'm hoping to make this a habit. I read somewhere that it takes about four weeks for a new habit to become routine, and I'm hoping that's true! Luckily, I work at the Y where I have my membership, so I REALLY have no excuse not to work out. *L*

Sweat is fat crying.

My mom came home from work one day and told me she read the above saying on a guy's shirt and ever since its stuck with me lol

I try to got to the gym for strength training and cardio on the elliptical every other day, but if I am super score I may take a second day in between days.

other days I try to go for a walk/jog, I do a 5k worth and some days it is all walking and others i have 30 seconds to 1 minute jogging bursts for the first 2 miles or so, by the time i hit the end of mile 2 I'm only up to walking the last mile-ish. I look forward to some distant day I can jog it all, at which point I will add more to the length to make it around the same +/- 1hr it takes now :) I have been missing more of these walks lately due to the high heat (95-105 weather here) I'm trying to get myself to do them in the late evening once it is cooler.

Many evenings my DH and I also go to the pool and swim. the level of difficulty depends solely on how sore my body is and how active I have been all day. Some days I barely do more then float around and enjoy the water and others I do laps for 30-45 mins straight lol
