I feel like regular hula hooping wouldnt be too effective but they do have weighted ones that may work a bit better.
I have very bad IBS as well, and find that increasing my water intake (Shoot for 2 Liters, youll notice youre less hungry as well and less prone to snacking) really helps with that. As does a high fiber diet |

Hooping is so great! I know a handful of women who have lost serious weight just from hooping. I don't have the space to do it indoors so I am super impatient for it to get warm enough outside for me to start up again.
