Default Initial Weight Gain After Starting an Exercise Program

So I just started really exercising for the first time in my life. I'm not a naturally active person. And having never done this before, I'm wondering if my results are normal.

I'm doing Brazil Butt Lift, which I like so far, (It's only been 2 days, 4 videos). But I've gained 4 pounds?! I'm thinking this isn't muscle gain since it's only been two days, but I can't fathom it being fat either, since I've been eating a little more but not over my maintenance level.

I don't usually retain water except at that TOM, but I guess that's what this is? Does anyone know why? Or have experience with big spikes in weight in the very early stages of an excercise program?

I'm not panicking or anything yet, but I am a bit disappointed since I was looking forward to seeing the scale go down.

(And, on an unrelated note, my butt really hurts!)

It's water weight. Your muscles retain water while they are recovering from the exercise and getting stronger. It's totally normal and it will pass.
