Has anyone tried Tia Chi (sp)? We have a Karate place near my house that is going to start to teach this, and I am interested. Thanks for your help!

Hi,
I've just started to learn Tai Chi. From what little I know there are a few different "forms". I'm learning the short form- 28 moves- of Tai Chi Chuan. To complete this will take 8 weeks (i'm on week 7). I really enjoy the fluid movement of this excerise and feel extremely "grounded" by it. I need to practise it twice a day & really work at remembering the moves correctly. Go down to the place and look and see if you think that it's for you! :) Here's some Tai Chi sites: http://www.robertparry.freeserve.co.uk/ http://www.maui.net/~taichi4u/practice.html Good Luck, Jan |
Thanks Jan. I called the place near my house and they said that they will have a class starting next month. I am really looking forward to starting this class.

Good for you!!!
Keep me/us posted. Jan |
Tai chi is a really good form, from what I've been told. It's a really gentle style that doesn't really stress your body, so it is something you can do well into old age.
Just be warned that sometimes martial arts can get kinda addicting because they are so much fun. :-) andrea |
