Can your muscles be "swollen" after exercising?
Why is it that each time i do muscle work and im sore, the next day the scale says ive gained weight? I sometimes check the scale from day to day and I had chrcked it before my work out yesterday and then again today and it says Im up 3lbs! My food and water is pretty stable, same with when i weigh myself (same time of day)

Yes. Your muscles retain water when they're sore.

Yep, I went on a 12 mile bike ride on Monday and this morning I was up 4 pounds.

Totally normal. Muscles retain water after workouts, it's part of their 'repair' process. It's not 'real weight gain', so don't worry about it, and just go on with your plan. :)

This makes soo much more sense, thanks guys.
So sad I did a one hour muscle class on monday and today Im still as sore as I was yesterday. |
