Too much exercise, or just enough?
I love to run in the morning. It gives me a boost for the day and I barely get any craving or weird feelings if I run when I wakeup. But I want to go to the gym later too. Is it bad to do say, 20 minutes running for morning cardio, and then 20 minutes of cardio at the gym + weights and strength training? I know 60 mins of cardio is too much, so is 40 for the day split up fine? Thanks!!

Who told you 60 minutes of cardio is too much? Lots of people do 60 minutes of cardio. In fact, most fitness classes run 60 minutes or more lol. Anyways, no, that is not to much exercise. Have fun!

No way. Nothing is too much! Our caveman ancestors probably did 6+ hours of cardio a day chasing food around the forest.

There is NOTHING wrong with 20, 40 or 60 min. My husband did a 2 hour run on Sun in prep for a 10 mile run he's doing next month. When I ran track back in HS, we often did two-a-day workouts on the weekends.
It's amazing how far you can push your body. I also know lots of ppl who break up their workouts b/c they only have 20 min at a time. There's nothing wrong with that. Just keep pushing yourself and testing your limits!! |
