Dance Central for exercise
anyone workout on xbox 360 or whatever console with any dance games? I just started doing it again. It wears me out, but its so fun that I keep trying to beat my own score.

We have a couple of the just dance games for wii. My kids and I did it last night for an hour and I couldn't believe what a sweat I worked up!! I've never really joined in for more than a song before when they are playing.
Now I am thinking of reading reviews on all of the dance games, getting some more, and making it a weekly thing that the kids and I do together... fun and burning calories... YEY! :) |
I do! Not too long ago I posted about the workout option in Zumba Rush and burned over 700 calories.

I was looking at the zumba one before. It had good pretty good reviews. It's like the new phase now

haha. The funny thing is that I just finished playing this just as soon as I plopped down and started skimming the threads on here. I'm not very good at it, especially when it comes to hand and foot moves together, but I have fun. :)

I'm considering getting Zumba rush via game fly. I did the demo and thought I was going to collapse. TI felt great! Currently using yourfitness i've found the kinetic to be a great motivating tool. In fact I'm off to do it right now.

I have all the Just Dance games, Zumba for Wii, Wii Fit Plus and a couple of others. I think the dancing ones are best because of the sweat factor. Wii Fit is enjoyable, but there is too much down time, loading time in between games and exercises. I march in place for all the waiting, though.
My biggest issue with Just Dance was hurting the arm with the controller from harsher movements. I started holding a controller in both hands and it helped. I also really try not to put extra strain on the right hand. I'm doing it to burn calories not to earn points, unlock levels, or beat my highest score! |
I actually lost quite a few pounds doing Dance Central 2 when it first came out...then my Xbox broke and I gained it all back lol
