Looking for Help With My Shoulders
Hi everyone,
I am looking for some advice. I have been working a lot on weight and circuit training, trying to build some nice lean muscle and get more definition. However, I think I have a weak spot and I am not really sure how to fix it. I think my shoulders are very weak. My core is pretty strong, and my arms are too, but I have a heck of a time doing exercises like pushups and anterior raises. I can hold plank for over 4 minutes, but after 12 pushups I collapse. And I can do most of the 30 day shred with 10 lbs weights, but when I do the side lunges with anterior raises, I have to do them with 2 lb weights and even then, my arms are shaking violently. Is there a specific muscle in there that would explain this weakness? Do you have any ideas for what I can do to specifically target those muscles? Thanks in advance! |
Here's a list that should be helpful, complete with videos and tons of info on each exercise:

Are you doing rows and dumbbell presses as well as pushups? Those will all help.
Generally, I would suggest that to improve shoulder functionality and strength, you want to do exercises that work the whole should in conjunction with the chest and/or back. (But 12 pushups is great!!!) |
