My trainer posted on FB that he did 240 swings w/a 53-lb bell & it took 20 minutes for his heart to return to resting rate after he was done.
I just thought that was interesting. |
Good afternoon, all! I managed to do a 100 this morning. I really felt the burn in my calves and the back of my thighs this time. I might do another 100 tonight, we'll see. Happy swinging!
|
I used the video that came with my new kettlebell twice this week - once for 20 minutes total, once for 27 minutes. I was fighting a plateau, and I lost 5 pounds this week! I don't know if the kettlebell was responsible for breaking the plateau, but it's super motivating to keep it up!
|
Great job, everyone! Congrats on breaking the plateau, Riddy.
I did 225 swings today, so I'm up to 500. I also did squats, shoulder presses, and 4 in 1s, do I've completed one kb workout. Tomorrow, I'm walking a 1/2 marathon, so no kb action for me. Have a great weekend! |
Hello! I'm just starting the kettlebell. I checked youtube for a few videos, and I'm happy to join you!
|
I've been trying to track my swings through my ticker but for some reason it's being weird. So I;ll just add them up on my posts.
So far, 3000-320= 2680 |
2680-100=2580
It gets easier each day :) |
Hi everyone
I started Feb 1st with the 12 min workout posted on the other thread. Loved it! I did it after an intense HIIT session, so my heart was already racing :D I'm trying to let my hip rest after working out every day last week and I will start again in a day or so. Goal is 150-200 swings a day. :workout: |
I got a new DVD in the mail today from GoFit. Wow, that one is more intense than my other DVD! I bet I'll be sore tomorrow, but I did like it. It has a few short breaks built into the program, and I was ready for them. Thanks again for welcoming me in!

I am so happy alot of you guys jump on the kettlebell this month and are already seing results, keep up the good work everyone, ive havnt been as consistance with it this mnth, have alot of things going on but i do workout with my kettleworx video 2-3times a week,
but sure as before i will post to start another 10k chalenge in the month of march, so i am happy you guys are getting a head start for all the newbies to kettlebell :-) keep going everyone and happy new body |
Great job gang!
I've done another 100 swings (600 total) and 2 complete kb workouts. I'm going to have to get into gear with the swings & workouts. It's just been hectic. |
I did another 150 yesterday. I don't like a feeling I'm getting in my lower back, though. I'm used to lifting heavy, so the 10 lbs kettlebell is not serious in terms of weight, but the twisting movement of the spine is a little tough for my back (I had 3 back injuries when I was younger).
I'm taking it slow, even though I feel like I needle a heavier kettlebell. |
I hadn't exercised since Tuesday (have a cold and got stuck at work late), so last night I did 35 minutes with the video. Now I'm trying to decide if I should do the kettlebell or yoga tonight. I'm leaning toward the yoga, it just sounds good to me right now. :yoga:

I've really been slacking this month! I've been doing well with the overall workouts, but my daily swings have become non-existant. It's been a stressful few weeks, and I just haven't had the motivation. I'm going to do my best to finish strong.
I'm hoping March is a much better month! |
