Workout Music
I am looking for motivating music to workout to. I was hoping I could get some suggestions from everyone. Thanks!!:strong:

Some great workout songs that I love! I really need to burn a cd or make a tape of all of these songs for that! Some are old and some are newer-just all time great workout songs!
"Let's Go Crazy" by Prince "Kiss" by Prince anything by Fatboy Slim...really good workout music What is that old Rocky theme song..."Eye of the Tiger"? "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix a Lot "Hellagood" by No Doubt Just about anything fast by Madonna anything by Rob Zombie...oh yeah Aphil |
I think it really depends on a) what kind of music you like to begin with, and b) what kind of emotional charge you're looking for in your workout music. I personally am rather a power freak, so yes, the Rob Zombie/White Zombie stuff is awesome. I also really liked (no laughing) the Mortal Combat soundtrack. There is VAST, which can sometimes apply, then there are alot of the dance mixes, too (I'm blue, dabadee dabadoo...) *lol* But I suppose if you hate rock/hiphop and really love country, none of that is gonna do it for you. ;)

Hey, I was listening to something this morning on the drive in to work.. if you like dance mixes/remixes to work out to, try Alice Deejay! Some of her stuff just gets you moving whether you want to or not! Listening to her on the radio in the car made me wanna turn around, go home, and hit the treadmill! Instead... I'm at work.

Disco--don't laugh, it's held up well. Never could figure out the 'disco s*cks' attitude.

As cheesey as it sounds, I love the ESPN Jock Jam series for good workout music. There are several to choose from & all of the songs are fast paced with a steady beat and they always seem to get my energy level sky high.
|
Jock Jams is really good .. also the Matrix soundtrack is a good one. :)

Thanks a lot for all your suggestions. I like all kinds of music except country, so your suggestions have been really good. Keep them coming!
 :dancer: |
I like to burn my own cd's and have many from BMG when I used to buy from them. I am going to be 36 this year and I exercise to the 80's music. Lots of fast, hip hop music. I love it.:smug:

I like Relient K, the new Christina Aguilera stuff. Then there's also Veruca Salt and the Muffs as well as Save Ferris and Letters to Cleo. The Jock Jams series is also great and there is this song called the Cha-Cha Slide that gets me pumped. Also, the song tells you how to do the dance, so that's a workout in itself.
As you can tell, I'm a bit music obsessed. |
The Hackers soundtrack. Rammstein. Prodigy. Type O Negative.
|
Now usually I wouldnt listen to it, except to work out, but pop and remixes are great motivators.
lets see id say hate to say i told you so- the hives where's your head at- basement jaxx stronger remix- britney spears breathe- the prodigy chop suey- system of a down then other stuff thats crazy.. lolita storm, racebannon or atari teenage riot (LOTS of energy) |
The kylie minogue album *Fever* is full of great dance tracks. I have been listening to it for a couple weeks now during my cardio workouts.
|
If you like dance/europop Eiffel 65's Europop is great. It has several tracks on it that I just *have* to move to.
|
if youre feeling 80s, Dead or Alive or Billy Idol. those are the two cds i have to have at the gym. really fast punk rock is good too.
