Couch to 4:23 Marathon!!

I just love being able to share here cause you all understand!

I was obese and couldnt even run.

I started my own version of couch to 5k and within 3.5 months I was running a 5k and the I trained for a half marathon!

This Past May just 1 year and 5months after learning to run I ran my First Marathon in 4:50 for 11min miles!

Then I trained for another and just got Done with Marathon #2 in 4:23 for 10min miles!

I'm Working toward Boston Qualifying! In 2 years I want my times down to 3:45!! and I'm going to do it!

I like showing you all newbie Runners YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

WOW congratulations!!!!!!!

I am so, so impressed with anyone who runs marathons. It's amazing. Especially individuals like you who have come so far in your weight loss and health journey.

Big, big high five! :cheer:

Wow, that's great - and a great finishing time. I'll be running in the Marine Corps Marathon (in only 4 days to go - Yikes!) and I just want to finish in around 5:30-5:45. What can I say - I'm slow, but persistent. :dizzy:

That's so great.
I have loved hearing your running stories. There is nothing as gratifying as running. (for me anyway). It has been even better than losing the extra weight.
Thank you for sharing your inspirational marathon stories. I love them.

Thank you! I am really hoping to run in the Wichita Marathon next year. I don't think they have qualifying times. I had probably better look into that, eh!? lol I started my healthy living about a month before this years marathon, I'm hoping 11 months is long enough to train.

I just started jogging again today. A few years ago I was up to 4 1/2 miles as my longest distance. I am planning on a 12K (7.46 miles) in May 2012 and a half in October 2012.

pockets: may I just say that I loooove your avatar :)
