Tummy help!

Oh my goodness I am SO tired of having extra flab around my waist. The rest of my body is shaping up nicely but I can't (or haven't tried hard enough) to make my little belly go away. It drives me insane because I have lost 50 pounds but I have not lost a huge amount of inches off my waist.

Does anyone have exercises and eating advice that have really worked with them? What low-medium impact exercises have you found that have worked for you? I would LOVE to have a flat stomach and I am sure with work it is possible as I am only 20. I want the flat tummy before I have kids!

I am so lost as to how to get rid of it... if anyone has a step by step plan that has shown them results I would love to hear about it! Thanks!

Many women have problems losing weight in the belly area and you can't really 'target' the area to weight loss. All you can do is strengthen the muscle underneath and when the excess weight comes off youll be able to see some abs. Keep working it!

Just keep losing weight and hope the tummy genetics are in your favor. That's the truth, unfortunately.

@Pinkberry- I know I still have fat covering up the muscles I've been developing but it is still my biggest problem area... it's basically what has halted my progress on inches lost and kept me in a size 14.

Will cardio do the trick?

@DietVet- If I'm relying solely on genetics I'm in trouble :P But I'm just going to do the best I can to reverse what genetics has already given me.

@mkroyer- True story!

A mix of cardio and weights is (in my opinion) the best way to lose the flab..muscle at rest burns more calories than fat... It just takes a lot of work! Diet is also 90% of the battle so make sure your eating the right amounts of protein, carbs, and fats!
