5k this AM.
I just wanted to post because I am proud of myself and hopefully this will encourage others.
I have been telling myself I would start exercising in the AM. I have time after work but with my bf's & my schedule... that would leave us with essentially no time together. He wakes up at 5. I wake up at 7:30. He gets home at 6. I get home at 7 most nights. I work every other Saturday. Add in random days where he doesn't come home at night or for days (military... gotta love it!) or nights I work late (I work at a car dealership). So yeah. Mornings are the best option for me. Except I forgot to mention I am *not* a morning person!! Anywayyyy - last night I told my bf. WAKE ME UP TOMORROW. I don't care if you have to drag me out of bed by my ankles... or dump ice cold water on me. Lol. I NEED to work out! This morning. 5am, bright (...or dark) & early, he woke me up. It took a some self-control, but I crawled outta bed. Splashed some cold water on my face. Put on my work out clothes & running shoes. Kissed him goodbye. Went to the gym. And I ran 5k in 31 mins on an incline!!!! I know I can improve but for right now I am super proud of myself. For 1. Going in this first place. 2. Running that far. After that, I did 15 mins on the elliptical. I feel like I can push myself harder. My goal for tomorrow is to run a little faster & a little longer. Maybe .5 more on speed & another half a mile. Sorry for writing so much. I feel like I had to share it with someone! Haha. |
