Blister Help, Please

Sorry in advance for the grossness of this topic. :o

I've developed a pretty bad blister on the tip of my toe from running. I tried the blister bandaids and they seem to help a little, but it's not getting any better.

What do you do to get rid of a blister?
Am I supposed to pop it (sorry, that's a nasty question)?
And what can I do to make it more comfortable?

I think it's ok to pop it with a pin or needle if you sterilize the needle with alcohol first. I would then apply an antibiotic ointment and cover with a bandaid.

I pop my blisters with a sterile needle, once I do that it does not hurt as much either... I protect it with a band aid. The blister dries out fast this way too...

I got a blister on my little toes about every other day when I started the treadmill!!!! I found that if I popped it with a sterile needle it would not hurt as much the next day when I got on the treadmill. Thank god after almost two months it has finally gone away. I now only get them occassionaly....

Also make sure that your socks are not the culprit. I get them every time I wear thicker socks.

Good luck
