Great Exercise that's not too much on the joints!!
 
I mentioned before that I had recently broken my ankle. Im finding it hard to run or walk for long periods of time.I can't really jump up or down. Are there any people in the same position as me and if so what different exercises do you do? Thanks in advance:)

After I broke my leg very severely, my ortho doc advised swimming, biking, or elliptical and not much else.

I'm sure severity of the break and age of the person who broke it dictate how long you should heal with no activity, but I would bet my life that you shouldn't do any impact exercise 6-8 wks at LEAST after the break.

I'm also pretty sure you're smart enough to follow doctor's orders.

That said, there should be plenty of things you can do in the weight room with other body parts, and without any impact on your ankle.

In fact, why don't you make lemonade out of lemons and use this as an opportunity to learn different strengthening exercises out of your comfort zone? You have the perfect excuse! "I broke my ankle, so can you show me how I can exercise without hurting my break?" ask that to ANYone in ANY gym or even outdoors in public, I'm sure you'll get some advice and probably even make a friend. :)

Great Advice but I did break me ankle in December and I still don't feel fit. :(

Consider doing some shadow-boxing to get your heart-rate up if you're looking to sub in some cardio.

Are you going to physical therapy? They should be able to help you decide what you can do and what you should avoid.

Yoga! You can get a great cardio and/or strength workout from a power class. Or a more gentle flexibility/stretching workout from a hatha class.
