Need Help Building an Exercise Routine
Okay so my boyfriend got caught for a DUI and Florida is really strict when it comes to DUI's so he is going to be stuck in there for at least a month. The jail has them all on lock down half the time and he spends a lot of time just sitting around his cell so I thought I would come up with an exercise routine for him. The problem is I usually use weights in my stuff and he is already in decent shape so I don't know what I could put in there to make it challenging enough or what the number of sets and reps should be. I tried looking up a routine on google but it was no help. Does any one have some ideas?

I suppose try to look at exercises where you can use your body as weight. When my ex was in prison they had yard and he got to use weights all the time so I don't really know much else to say. :/

My father and my husband use a book that uses workouts that are based with body weight. It's called Convict Conditioning by Paul Wade.

Here is a good BW routine. It is designed for beginners so he can just start at week 4 and progress from there.

@fatferretfanatic i'll definitely look that one up. @JohnP Thanks! |
have him do circuits of 5-10 exercises, for 30 secs/min a piece, no rest in betweeen..... or for number of reps (like 20) with no rest in between exercises, till he gets to the last one. then rest a minute or 2, then repeat..... things like burpees, pushups, mountain climbers, side plank dips, plank-to-pushups, jumping jacks, handstand pushups (against a wall), situps, plyo metric squats, plyometric lunges, wall sits...... tons and tons of stuff
