  • I did, briefly it was good because it got me into a routine of going there, and when i felt i was investing the time and effort, it helped me with my eating. You have to concentrate though and put effort into your movements there. For me, it was very easy to get distracted with the others who might be chatting and visiting.
  • I joined curves when they first started popping up everywhere. I joined for about six months and I liked it, but for me it wasn't very effective. I think it was because I was already in shape though, weighed 130 pounds, and was toned from pilates, so it wasn't vigorous enough for me to have any additional results. I would say if you aren't already in top shape or do any form of strenuous exercise, you will probably be happy with it. The environment was welcoming, friendly, and noncompetitive.
  • I think Curves is good for beginners, but once you are good at doing their circuit, it's not challenging, which means your results and fitness level will halt. You have to keep pushing yourself to new fitness goals. At Curves, you can't adjust the resistance of the machines much within the window of time you have at that station. so, you'll only get as strong as the machine will let you. That siad, if you are a beginner, then I do think it's worth looking into, but for me, about 6 months to a year was enough.
