Increase Calorie intake when working out?

Hi all - should you increase your calorie intake when you are intensly working out? I am on the weight watchers system and just wondering if I should use all or none of my earned activity points?

I've never increased calorie intake for intense workouts, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't :)

If you feel more hungry and feel like you need a few 100 extra calories, go for it.
I'd rather cut back on exercise than have to eat more though - lol !!

A rule of thumb that I recently read is to eat back half of the calories that you have burned.

In general if fat loss is your goal, no. But some people, like myself, need additional cals to continue to losing weight, keep your metabolism functioning at tip top shape, and keep your energy up for good performance. Just listen to your body. If you find you're tired and hungry and your weight loss is slowing down, then you may want to consider more cals.
