question about workout dvds
ok I'm trying to figure out a good workout routine that doesn't have weight training back to back so my muscles can rest in between days but I'm a little confused on some of these workout dvd's.. if the dvd requires you to use dumbells or resistance bands etc during the workout is that considered strength training? Like The Firm I'd definitely consider strength training with cardio... what about Core Secrets where you exercise mainly on the ball with weights? are any of these ok to do two days in a row or if the dvd using weights should I try just cardio the day after? just curious, how do you all plan your routines by week?

I don't plan them. I am not inclined to Domitian. I guess like clothing, I kinda don't plan that either.
What I do is what I feel like on as they say, Any given Sunday! Lol Yesterday I did Ellen Barrett's Skinny sculpt. It was with weights . Today I may do my SWAT DVD cause I like it. It's not too weight heavy so I can Do it . I could do the resistance, cardio, resistance etc, but some aren't full body resistance so I do that. I'm going to order my Yodates today so I d have a cardio-ish exercise, I like. Right now, I'm not into pressuring myself with routines, getting myself moving is better for ME right now. Tis is my year for putting it all together, the eating and the exercise. I never ever got this until now. Richard Simmons has been saying it for rears, I just didn't get it. Now... It's my turn. it's a New Day |
If it's light weights, it should be fine. Try to get videos that have premixes, so if it's cardio+weights, you can have a cardio only premix or a weight only premix, or do cardio+weights if you want to.
