I just had a horrible tooth extraction experience that caused my oral surgeon to recommend no exercise until things were better. So I haven't been able to workout in about 2 weeks. Things are a lot better now (still not fully healed) and I went to the gym today. I could barely do 25 minutes on the elliptical.
Usually, I have no problem working out for about an hour. I know the fact that I've basically been living off of soup, yogurt and mashed potatoes for the past two weeks had something to do with it. Still, it was disappointing. When you don't exercise for a little while, do you lose your stamina that fast? How long does it take for a person to build back up to where they were before?
