I am really concern lately with food after exercising. My problem is that I go to the gym around 11 pm and comeback at 1 am just tired to shower and go to bed.. but I know we always should eat a bit of protein after exercises... but that apply to me even if i workout just before my night sleep????
My understanding is that a small snack of protein + carbs after exercising helps your muscles recover, which is very important.
How about 1/2 cup of cottage cheese with a little fruit or fiber one cereal mixed in? Or greek yogurt with fruit or a bit of fiber one? Not too filling, not too many calories, and you'll be taking care of your body and helping it get ready for the next workout!
theres no rule that says you have to eat after exercise..... you can eat BEFORE as well, with the same benefits. I personally prefer doing PRE workout nutrition, instead of POST workout nutrition
