Running in the rain? Who does it?

So the last 3 night, minutes before I was going to run it started raining! All 3 fricken nights! I am so  !! It's TOM and it's bad enough that I'm bloated, cranky, retaining every ounce of water! Now I can't even jog my frustrations out!

So who runs in the rain? Do you have to do anything differently? Special gear? Blisters? Lol!

I love running in the rain. It's nice, cool, n' refreshing. Plus the jog paths aren't packed with people, it's just me toughin it out. It's my favorite time to jog honestly.

I was wondering about this too. I am moving back to Washington state in a few weeks and once fall arrives so does the rain....

I used to dread it. I would either skip the run or turn to the treadmill. I made myself get out there in the rain because I was training for longer runs and couldn't manage more than 45 minutes on the TM. Now I kind of love it. Sometimes it's cold at first, but that takes care of itself. I had a trail/ road hybrid shoe for Seattle 's rainy winter (water resistant) and I wear a baseball cap to keep the rain out of my face a bit.

I love it! Just make sure to warm up really well if you're going to do any sort of hard/speed type work.

It forces me to leave all my electronic "crutches" behind and just run how I feel. I don't know how fast I'm going, I have a bit of an idea how far because I still run my regular routes, but I just run. Plus here in the tropics it tends to cool things down a little and make it easier to breathe.

I broke my leg back in March + would be sooo paranoid running in the rain! Right now I'd like to just walk in the rain :)

I've done it and love it specially on a hot day and the rain is warm...Cold damp rain, to me, is not pleasant... But it is fun...

I wear a baseball cap and depending on the temperature warm and humid rain or cold and damp I wear a jacket... Waterproof runners would be nice but I just wear my older runners as to not ruin my regular ones...

Haved fun!

Walking or running in the rain is brilliant, I think it feels very refreshing and exhilarating. Plus, it's even more satisfying to get back home after you've been out in a downpour, you have all the satisfaction of having exercised well, plus the comfort of drying off and changing into comfy, dry, warm clothes! Lovely.

I live in Oregon, of course I run in the rain! The only special gear I worry about is a baseball hat to keep the rain out of my eyes. Don't overdress, you dont want to try and stay dry. Dress for maybe 5 degrees cooler than it is.

If you have good non-cotton socks blisters shouldnt be too much of a problem, although anywhere you tend to chafe can chafe sooner. If that's the case use bodyglide before the run.

I always love taking long walks when it's drizzling. :)

I live in Seattle. So, yeah :)

I wear a ball cap and just go. It actually feels kinda good.
