Sports Bra

I am in desperate need of a supportive sports bra. I was jogging on the treadmill today and I had WAY too much bounce going on. I'm a 42 D. Any suggestions of a good brand and where to get one that keeps the sisters bounce free?
Thanks.

I don't know a good brand.... but my trick is to wear 2 at the same time.

The "Everyone swears by it" bra (Apparently Oprah and Drew Barrymore swear by it...it was on Oprah at one point) is an Enell 100. It's expensive, but apparently awesome.

Another vote for Enell. Best money I ever spent. I had mine custom tailored at a bra boutique. I'm careful to take care of them (wash them on the "hand wash" setting on the washer in cold water in a delicates bag, then hang to dry.)

My girls just don't bounce... they don't move at all. Even running, jumping, paintballing, jumping jacks... they don't move! lol. It does feel a bit tight/restrictive at first but you get used to it! Yes, Enell is the best!!! They are well worth the extra money - wal-mart sports bras just do not support enough.

I'm a 36DD and usually wear 2 bras (one minimizer and one sports bra over it.

I can also recommend this bra , and only need to wear this one sports bra, no bounce :) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ef=oss_product I'm thinking about getting more

I'm a big fan of Moving Comfort bras. I'd say go to your local running store and try out a few bras. I've also recently ordered an Enell and plan to try that out.

I posted this elsewhere but it's good info:

Quote:

You need a good sports bra (no matter what size "the girls" are). When you run, "the girls" are moving in figure eights and bouncing 443 feet every mile. Without proper support, "the girls" will get very sore and you can do permanent damage to the Cooper's ligaments. Key words to look for: High Impact, Encapsulation, and Compression.
I've been doing the 2 sports bra routine, and even though the girls seemed strapped down and locked in, my breasts got very sore when I began to increase my running distance. After a lot of research, I ordered a Champion 360 and a Shock Absorber Max. I can't wait until they arrive in the mail!

Another ENELL girl here. I started in their six 6, now down to a 3, and they've worked for me both ends of the scale. My "normal" bra size is 34GG so you can see if have big need for control. I like the support so much that I wear this bra around the house (I live alone and work from my home).

I like Enell

and Lunaire.

At Title 9 Sports they get high barbell ratings for bounce, but they change all the names. Can try finding them elsewhere for a better price, but the rating system there is helpful.

Try Title Nine...

...I personally wear the Nike Fit Dry sports bras and just love them. I only do short bursts of very light jogging during my exercise time, so if I ran alot I would need something more supportive.

I love my Enell, best bra I've ever had. It really does support the breasts too, it's all I ever wear now.. tho now that I have lost in that area I'm gonna have to get an updated Enell size at xmas, lol

lili58 08-10-2010 11:45 AM

I go for a size smaller than I am. I have big boobs and hate the bouncing.

charmtime 08-10-2010 11:56 AM

I wear two bras, but am about to google enell...

I tried Enell and it was fine. But what I usually do is wear a smaller-sized tight bra (40F/G), then wear a minimizer over that, then put a compressing sports bra on that combination. The girls stay in place with this. I'm between a 40H or 42H (depending on the bra) so I definitely understand the pitfalls of the bounce factor.
