To Much To Soon?

Hi all. So, I started doing the C25K program on Tuesday. I did day 2 today, and I couldn't even run half the intervals this time! Does this indicate I'm not ready to start training for a 5k, like maybe I should walk for the next month before attempting this? I'm thinking if I keep doing it, I am going to be on week 1 for awhile....
I always do this with exercise though, I try to do to much to soon and I burn out. Or I just think I am pushing myself WAY to hard too fast. Anyone give me a clue? LOL :p

Try repeating Day 1 until it's easy before you move on. You can also try every other day if you're exhausted or too sore

I just realized something...I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night...could that have effected my performance?
I am only doing it every other day and take 2 days off between starting the next week or repeating the same week.

Absolutely! Not getting enough rest always effects my performance at the gym.

Yes, lack of sleep can definitely affect your workout. I'd say take your time and don't worry if you have to repeat the week. I started the program about 6 weeks ago, but I'm only on week four. I did week two twice and this is my second week doing week four. I'll probably repeat week four again. Think about it this way: If you stop doing it, you'll never get past week one. If you continue (even if you do have to repeat the week), eventually you'll make it to week two. Good luck!

...and try running slower. Always. A lot of what C25K teaches you is how to find the pace that allows you to complete the workout.

If you cant complete a workout or a week repeat it, but repeat it slower.

Walk, get your body used to the distance (and stretch!).

I do think you need to be able to do a brisk walk for 40 minutes fairly easily and be doing it for a few weeks consistently before considering starting C25K.
