What to do after completing Insanity
Hi Everyone,
I came across this site a couple of months ago when I was fairly new into my 60 day Insanity program and read lots of great stuff about Insanity. But, after completing 60 days and then doing some of the videos here and there for another couple of months, I am bored with Insanity. It's an AMAZING work out program, not knocking it a bit. I'm just ready for something different. I was pleased with the results but I did not see the results I would have liked to in my stomach and back. I've found I'm not really working out anymore and I hate that feeling. Was looking for some advice on some great work out programs to do after Insanity? I respectfully say I'm not interested in P90X. :) I know you can't spot train, but I'd like a program that someone has found great belly and back results with too. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance!! :) |
Why do you not like P90X? Not saying you should do it, but just wondering what sort of aspect do you not want in a video/program? The Back and Ab Ripper X can't be beat.
Off the top of my head, Chalean Extreme is also very popular and a solid program. However, it is very similar to P90X. Insanity (forgive me if I am incorrect, I have not done it) is based around no-weights, cardio, plyos, etc? If you are looking for more in the back and abdominals, weights are the way to go... |
Thank you SO very much for replying! I was very happy to see that someone did. Well, I guess what I don't like about P90X from what I hear is the length of the workouts! I'm a stay at home Mom of two kiddos so to hear that the workouts are like an hour and a half long seems very hard to fit into a busy day. It was hard even with the one hour long Insanity work outs. I've heard from people that once you complete Insanity, P90X is too easy. But, on the flip side people who have done P90X vs Insanity say really great things about it. I'm just afraid that given the length of the workouts, I will not be able to stick with it for 90 days.
You are correct in the way that Insanity works. I've heard you get more bulky with P90X? Would you find that to be true. I just need something new to start, and again need to really target my back and stomach as much as I can. I saw in your bio, for lack of better word, that you've completed P90X. What are your thoughts and results on it? :) Thanks! |
I like the 10 minute solution work outs, and it sounds like it might work for you too. Each section works out different areas--core, legs, arms, stretch etc. You can combine workouts if you have time, or just do 1 or 2. 10 Minute Solutions has fitness balls, Pilates, bootcamp, fat burners, dance etc work outs. And if you have Netflix, there are a couple that are on instant play
