I just ran a MILE!

:carrot:

This morning I got up at 5:30, warmed up and decided to start jogging and promised myself that I wouldn't stop until I absolutely needed to.

Well, it ended up being a MILE! For me, this is HUGE!! I'm on week 3 of C5k and have been training for 3.5 weeks. And I did a MILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is GREAT! What a sense of accomplishment that is! Revel in that!! That's no small achievement - way to work up to it and DO IT! :) And to get up so EARLY!! That shows double committment!

That's awesome!!! First 1 mile, then 1.5 miles, then 2 miles.....there are no hurdles in life if it's backed by a positive attitude!!

You rock!!!

Way to go! A new runner is born!

Quail 07-25-2010 08:17 PM

Thanks so much, everyone! I haven't run a mile in 7 years. I am just so pleased!!

Quail 07-26-2010 02:03 AM

The icing on the cake: tonight I did my regular three miles and shaved off 3 more minutes. When I first started doing 3 miles every night, it took me an hour and 15 minutes. Tonight it took 54 minutes. :D
