How to do weight training if you don't have weights?

  • Okay, so I do have weights- two hand weights weighing 10 pounds each. Other than that, I have no access to weights. Any tips on what I could be doing? I keep reading about how important weight training is, but I don't know what to do!
  • Those plastic 4 litre milk jugs with handles...well use those, they're about 10 pounds!
  • body weight- squats lunges, push ups

    household items- water bottles, cans, jug, bags filled with stuff...
  • Search for "body weight exercises" in google. Also, Resistance bands are an inexpensive way to do weight training.
  • If youre a beginner to weight training then i would say go with bodyweight exercises. Push ups and sqauts and lunges. not to mention plank, burpees, and there are so many modifications of these base exercises to keep you working for a while. but if you want to go up a level get a backpack and fill it with things and do your exercises with this. or as others suggested get a resistance band they are very challenging. hope i helped. good luck
