Huge Calves

I have lost a little over 60 lbs now but still feel like my calves are huge. My thighs and upper legs have slimmed down tremendously but it seems like my calves are almost the same size. They have toned up a lot but are still very large. I know you can't spot reduce but are there any exercises that will help slim them down? Or do I just need to wait and my calves will eventually catch up with the rest of my body?

Same thing here. Big difference with my thighs, but still have cankles and large calves. Despite that I am determined to wear more cute shoes this summer. I'm still hopeful that maybe I will see a difference later...

I have the same problem :C I have heard that pilates will stretch and lengthen the muscles, so I try to incorporate that into my workouts.

Heather- Congrats on your weight loss! I'm sure you look great. You may notice some changes with future weight loss. Don't let this bring you down.

I have large calves too. It sucks when your calves are as big as your dad's, but what are you gonna do? Some people just have muscular/shapely calves.

You guys-- not to offend anyone here, BUT...

Look how much weight youve lost!! Look how HEAVY you used to be!! of COURSE youre going to have large calves, because those suckers had to support/carry you around at a very heavy weight, prob for a very long time!
Its MUSCLE!
Dont work out your calves if you want them to shrink. There might still be fat over them, but that will go away as you lose more weight (if you plan on losing more)

Give them time, and leave them alone. If they dont get used as hard, then they will get smaller.....

Sorry.... :)
