question about running shows
I've only been running since the beginning of January and haven't bought new shoes yet. Actually, I started with cross trainers(I think). Up until now I haven't had any problem with shin splits or pain at all in my calves. I've only run once this week and my ankles are sore today. I'm wondering now if it may be time to by actually running shows. I'm just wondering how you knew when it was time to replace shoes.

You might want to check your feet as well. I've personally got some soles customized to my feet because when I run my ankles kind of 'bend inward' every time I land.
You don't notice it when you just start out, but when you run more regularly and more intensely, then you might cause some injuries, because it's a constant repetitive motion. I had that at one point, and couldn't figure out what was causing my injuries. Until I went to this orthopedist who got me these customized soles. Never had a problem again. |
Hello~
Have you read the shoe sticky: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/exer...oe-advice.html ? I would recommend being fitted at a running store for running shoes. I try to replace mine every 300-500 miles. |
