I'm not 100% sure but pretty sure, that you did not dent that step in your aerobic class... I've seen many large woman at our gym do step aerobic and I've never heard of anyone breaking/denting one, I've also never seen any woman bring in her own step... You can ask your aerobic instructor but I am sure that those step are meant to hold quite a bit of weight... Just my 2 cents, but like I said I am not 100% sure...

Hey, I just thought of something I will ask the instructor at my gym tonight to see what the weight requirement is and I will get back to you...

I didn't think anything of using the steps in my gym at 291 lbs (I was much more afraid of the stability ball. Thank God it never popped!) I think you'll be fine. They buy sturdy equipment at gyms.

Is step aerobics a GOOD workout? I've been thinking about getting a video or something...for some variety....

I got a great workout! I havent done it since high school but I completely sweated through my shirt and it doesnt feel that hard because you are so focused on learning the routine...
