Exercising While Sick
Hi!
I've been sick with a bad cold and bronchitis for about a week and a half. It seems like the stuffy/runny nose is starting to go away, but this nasty cough is staying with me. It makes me just want to stay in bed all day. I have been exercising, but any time I start doing any kind of heavy cardio, I start hacking. It's not pretty. I'm trying to do the Valentine's Day Challenge and get to 110 lbs., but at this rate I'll never get there. I don't want to quit. Honestly, I like cardio more than strength training and I want to get back to it! What can I do while I'm still sick though? MrsLovett |
"below the neck, let it rest" If you are hacking your body needs rest. Stay in bed all day.

Don't push yourself! You won't work out effectively anyway and will ultimately slow your immune system from healing itself. Take in some healthy food and take a nap!

I have been taking everyone's advice and resting for the past couple of days. Wow, that cough medicine really knocked me out! I think I slept all day yesterday. Good thing it was the weekend. Still coughing today and feeling pretty lethargic, but I tried to workout somewhat because I don't want my lack of exercise to become a habit. I feel guilty enough already!:(
