Default consulting your doctor

I've heard people say you should consult your doctor before starting exercises.

why? did any of you gals do this? like, is it mandatory?

I have this mild doctor phobia. I don't trust them. LOL

I only go for check ups. I dont like to be there if I dont have to.

I think alot of it may depend on how much weight you have to lose. With people needing to lose more weight it may be more important to consult a doc then someone with less to lose. May also depend on what type of exercise you're going to pick up.

Me personally, I didn't consult my doctor. I don't do hard exercise though. Just walking and mild jogging..I'm just starting the c25k program.

Yeah I'm really only doing walks right now. I'm not doing the shred or anything *yet! lol* so I think I'm gonna hold off on the visit.

NP, just keep track of how your feeling and if anytime you don't feel well or yourself during your workout it would probably be a good idea then to make an appointment.

Good luck and I'm sure you'll do great!!

I always wondered the same thing. But I always figured that if it was mild exercise it didin't matter.
