I used to work in a barn at a polo farm and you're right about that being a good workout!
Nowadays my favorite way to get in some exercise without dragging myself to the gym is Kayaking. I bought a kayak last summer and it has quickly become one of my very favorite pasttimes! Unfortunately I have to wait until about april to get back on the water again because of the winter weather. I used to love to ski but haven't been in about 7 years, perhaps I'll get to go again this winter though. Also I'm big into photography, especially nature photos so I'll hike and bike just about anywhere cool to get a good shot! |
I turn the music up in the house and dance around with my kids or without them if they are at school! ;)

I like to rollerblade, but it's hard to do it in the winter. I like going bike riding with my kids, and like taking them to the pool - they don't swim very well, so I have to stay right with them wherever they are (no lounging by the side for me) and often end up dragging one or two of them around on my back. I really love to ski (snow and water), but haven't gone in a long time.
Back before the kids and husband, I used to stay in shape mainly from skiing every Saturday, dancing for four or five hours every Friday night and rollerblading to work during the week (because my car was a POS). I never even thought about "working out" - it was just a lot of fun. |
