I've been avoiding this thread...ew. ew. ew.
I've also made jokes for years about how exercise doesn't give me energy, exercise makes me TIRED! And it's true: after a good workout, I could pretty much curl up in a ball and nap. But I have found over the past 8-9 months that while I'm still not pepped up by exercise, OVERALL I have more energy. I used to crash every afternoon and not want to do anything -- now I can actually putter around and do stuff. You may want to look into having your thyroid checked too. When I was getting some stuff checked out, I mentioned how exercise just makes me tired, and the doctor went, "Hmm. Let's do bloodwork on your thyroid." Sure enough, it was low. I take the thyroid pills and my levels are better, but I'm still pooped by exercise, sadly. |
