Music to run to

  • I'm not sure if there's already a thread for this, but I'm looking for some good upbeat music to run to! Anyone have any favorites they want to suggest???

    -Lauren
  • My favorite is the "American Wedding Soundtrack". It has a lot of up tempo pop-punk-rock songs.
  • My favs are:

Britney Spears "Circus" cd, basicly the whole cd with a few exceptions.
    Mariah Carey "Make it Happen"
    Mariah Carey "Someday"
Cindy Lauper "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"
    50 Cent "In da club"
    Katy Perry "Hot n Cold"
Katy Perry "I kissed a girl"
    Michael Jackson "Whatever Happens"
    Michael Jackson "Break of Dawn"
    Michael Jackson "Streetwalker"
Red Hot Chile Peppers "Love Rollercoaster"
    Right Said Fred "Too Sexy"
    No Doubt "Just a girl"
  • My current favs:
    Shakira- Objection (Tango)
    Gwen Stefani- The Sweet Escape
    Lady Gaga- Poker Face
    Heart- Baracuda
    Blondie- One Way or Another
    Röyksopp- Happy Up Here
    Sublime- Santeria
    Metric- Help I'm Alive
    Ok Go- Invincible
    Armchair Cynics- Bang

I like the other suggestions too!
  • I love to download Podcast music specially for running... You can get intervals, or just a one beat tempo for a whole hour... Go to iTunes and check their Podcast selections... AND it's FREE
  • Search Google for something called "PodRunner". It's a site that lets you download a free MP3 file you put onto your iPod or MP3 player (while it's free, they do ask for donations).

The music is somewhat generic techno-inspired music, is quite catchy, and is actually put together based on an optimal heartrate in BPM as you're exercising!
  • Great suggestions here - thank you : )
  • Here is another thread I started - I am posting my new playlists today!
