Hate exercising - but love the Wii Fit!!

Has anyone else tried this?? I find that it motivates me to exercise since it's more of a game than an exercise video. I just love it, and I can FEEL the work it's doing. I am actually sore this morning, and it's been a while since I've felt that!

I haven't tried this but I am just yearning for one! I don't even have a Wii yet though, but I've heard good things about the Wii fit! Does it actually produce results? I'm curious, since I don't know anyone who has one!

Good post, has anyone lost weight using the wii fit as their primary tool? DH and I have had a wii for a couple years now and I've been thinking about getting wii fit. Maybe I'll make it a mini goal reward.

I love the wii fit....its great for beginners, and you can advance. You can also track your weight loss, and ibm and set goals for yourself.

I am also a WII Fit fan. I alternate using the WII Fit with my elliptical (20-30 min) and try to exercise using one or the other at least 5x each week. I'm doing this while following the South Beach Diet eating principles and have lost 18 pounds since mid January - progress I am happy with. I find that the Expert Boxing and Free Step really help get my heart rate up and I like doing the yoga, some of the strength training and balance games. I'm not very coordinated, but that seems to be improving, too! :-)

I've found that the Wii Fit is great for Yoga and stretching exercises, but to be honest, I find it a little lacking as far as good aerobic exercise that gets your heart rate pumping. This is not to say there aren't great aerobic games on it--the boxing is great and so is the hula hoop. Also, the running game is not bad for a rainy day when you can't get outside (you basically jog in place, but on the Wii you're running through a cartoon world with a lot of interesting scenery).

Overall, I'd say it's worth it, but don't expect the end-all-be-all.

My boyfriend and I just bought it on Saturday, and so far I've lost 2 lbs. Now, I have also been watching what I'm eating and I use a exercise ball in the morning for about 15 min AND I walk for about 30 min at work every day also. But I find that the step game, and hula hoop get my heart rate up. What I REALLY like about the Wii Fit is that I ACTUALLY ENJOY working out! I never thought those words would EVER EVER EVER pass my lips! But it makes it fun. And my boyfriend, who honestly needs to loose quite a bit of weight, is actually working out because it's a video game! Kills 2 birds with 1 stone wooo pee! I think every little bit helps and this is just another way to get us off our asses. Definitely worth the 80$.
