When buying running or walking shoes always buy a half size bigger as this prevents the toes from rubbing on the shoe...

Black toe-nails and pain are the common denominator of using too small of a shoe. |

I think I will be going back for some New Balance I bought some Ascis(spelling?) because they claim to have. Just got fitted for the very first time! I recommend that anyone starting to jog should go through the experience. I've been wearing size 8 1/2 shoes for years. I found out tonight, i have two different size feet. Although I now feel like bigfoot, my runnning shoes feel perfect! I can't wait to run tomorrow.
|
I have Brooks also and I love it so much. It is so comfortable and light. It is perfect for jogging or running. I also use my brooks in biking or cycling. I need brooks is good for you also. I have 3 pairs of it and it is worth buying for.

I think for walk and other cardio exercise a decent pair of Nike will do. If you want to run regularly, you definitely should visit a running store and get fitted for a pair of shoes. I learned the lesson the hard way after running in my Nike and hurting my knee. A good pair of running shoes are invaluable.

I ended up going with Reebok ZQuicks after looking at (and trying on) a lot of brands. The Reeboks were bigger in the toe box and let my foot spread much better.
|
Thanks for the suggestions, pretty much all of my shoes no longer fit or are worn out now.
|
Wal-Mart used to sell walking shoes (with velcro straps) for only 5 dollars a pair, they were really comfortable but I'm sure they've went up now.
|
I'm getting new shoes Saturday, I cant wait, I havent had new shoes in years.
|
The sole is really important.
Additionally the right shoe depends on your jogging habits. Are you going jogging on the streets or in the forest? |
I have a pair of Asics Gel-Cumulus 15 and I love love LOVE them! I agree with almost everyone else, go to a local running store and get fitted properly, and try on a few different brands and go with what works best with you. I tried on a pair of Saucony and a pair of Brooks, and while they were amazing, the Asics were my favorite.

I suggest going to a local running store. They are great at fitting your foot for the best shoe for you. I had no idea that I have flat and wide feet until I got my feet looked at. Asics are the best shoe for me. They over the support that I need. These individuals are trained and have machines that can watch your gate and the way you land on your foot. So find a local store and get your feet checked out.

Yep, get to a running store. The wrong shoes can lead to foot injuries and stress fractures (ask me how I know).
I've got an appointment at a running store next week. I need new shoes and am thinking I will probably stick with Asics Kayanos unless the sales girl can find a shoe that works better for me. I have high arches and I pronate slightly. |
I like the adidas boost line. Looks good and extremely comfortable. The sole also doesnt flatten out as fast as the other brands.

No training store in sight

I agree with New Balance! Have been wearing them for years and they are the best running shoes.
|
I bought one last week for running and it is suitable for me
|
If it's for workout, I think you will be needing a sneakers and not brooks
|
I can recommend Adidas as well. It's really very good
|
What shoe is that?

Hello!
I got 5 pairs of ADIDAS ultraboost, 2 UBs 19s, and 3 UB 20s, I'm in love with how comfortable they are. I used them as a daily, and whenever I go running long distance or short distance the get the job done. All of this considering that I'm heavy 230lbs, and have category 3 flat feet. So my advice do what I did, I bought a used pair on ebay and afterwards bought news ones, reason why I bought used it's because they can fluctuate around $180 dollars a pair of shoes. Well those are my two cents, hope it helps~ |
I don't know.
|
Thanks for the advice :)

I can recommend shoes asics, I use these for pickleball. They work great and provide plenty of comfort and support for all of the stop and go required. Kind of dorky looking with the white and gold colors (make sure to wear high white socks to complete the look) … but extremely effective! Highly recommend.
|
It's nice to hear that ASICS shoes work well for the stop-and-go movements required in the game and provide comfort and support. While the white and gold colours may not be everyone's style, the effectiveness of the shoes is what matters most.

Sneakers are my favorite shoes for 2 years since I started maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I probably have more than 10 pairs of sneakers so here are my favorite brands - Nike, Adidas, Skechers (check Skechers reviews here), Asics, New Balance, and Reebok. I am sure it's super individual but Nike shoes are always comfortable.
