I exercise about 6 days a week for at least an hour. I run 3 days a week and the other 3 days I will combine free weights & pilates (usually...I like to mix it up sometimes!)
|
I work out six days a week, about an hour each day. Three days are strength training with my personal trainer, one day is cardio and a little abs, one day is a class my trainer conducts that is a combination of plyometrics and weights, and one day is swimming.
I used to work out seven days a week so that I would have two days of cardio, but I'm nursing a knee injury and have decided to take Sundays off to help it heal. It's hard to find a form of cardio that doesn't aggravate my knee problems. |
Most of the time, I work out every day, for about an hour.
3 days = 5 mile run 3 days = crosstraining 60-75 minutes (strength training, yoga, etc) 1 day = long run of 9 -12 miles (sometimes more in marathon season) Plus, I love to kayak, and have been getting out at least once a month or so for 3-4 hours on Saturday mornings. Sometimes, life does get in the way, and I miss a day or two because of travel, work scheduling, illness, etc. But I really try to get in some kind of significant activity EVERY day. My goal is to add more -- would like to start swimming a couple of days a week, so that would give an extra 45-60 minutes on some days. |
I'm maintaining at 30 minutes of cardio five days a week, and weight lifting three days a week.
|
I workout 5 days a week with about 55 minutes of cardio. MWF push-ups/sit-ups
|
I do five to six days per week. I target strength training two - three times per week for 45-65 minutes, yoga two - three times per week for 40-60 minutes, cardio three-five times per week sometimes on the elliptical or stationary bike, sometimes running. The activity determines the time on those activities - if I run it is usually for 90 minutes or so, 60 mins on bike, 45 mins on elliptical. I kickbox occasionally, usually toss it in at the end of a strength training session or before a cardio. I do sometimes run into scheduling problems trying to balance all the different activities. :-)

I can do weights, then stretches then an hour of cardio three/four times a week. I can't seem to do it everyday, I have tried I just can't seem to make the time. I am doing pretty well to do every other day but even 30mins on the stationary bike ends up being over an hour since I then have to take another shower and change after.
Even trying to split up my workout alternating weight/cardio days just does not work for me. I just don't have time. |
Lately I've been exercising 6 days a week (week day evenings, and weekend afternoons), and my routines are a mix of strength training and cardio.
Since my trainer recommended strength training for only 2-3 days a week, I do that before my cardio, and on some days I only do cardio (bike/Elliptical/walking with incline/dance/kickboxing). My routines, including warmup, cooldown and before/after stretching, usually add up to 1.5~2 hours, I'd say. |
I started off 25 minutes of cardio a day and some weight training...like 15-20, 3-4 days a week. Now i'm up to 30-45 minutes of cardio a day, with alternating weight days, of 25-30 minutes. I usually do this every other day, or go two days (cardio then weights), then one day off.
I do the 2-1 plan (2 days work out, 1 day off) if I do cardio one day, and weights the next. And 1-1 (Everyone other day) if I do both that day. |
I work out 6 days a week at home.
I do circuits one or two days a week for no longer than 72 minutes I do cardio three times a week for no longer than 60 mins I do weight training three times a week no longer than 65 minutes (legs take longer) Avg about 1600 minutes a month right now. |
At the moment, I'm doing a Curves circuit 30-45 mins 4x/week.
45 min brisk walk on average 5x/week. |
To make this work, I gotta be honest: I don't exercise at all. Today is Day 1 of a new start for me and I'm going to begin by just taking a walk around my neighborhood. If I pull off 2 laps, I'll be proud.
|
I do 30 minutes run/walk 3x a week, 15-18 minutes incline walk 2x a week and 20 minutes strength training 3x a week. I just started out again tho.
|
I run 3x/week (right now about 30 min each time, doing Couch to 5K) and do a kettlebell circuit 3x/week.
Sunday is my rest day but sometimes I'll do a little yoga or some other gentle exercise on that day. I'm shocked at how much time you all spend exercising. 2 hours per day? Really? Wow. :dizzy: |

Now .. when I started, it was just slightly better than torture. It took a while (quite a while) to learn to enjoy the process and for everything to get easier. But once you get to that point, then you want to do it because it's fun and feels good. Now I feel yucky when I DON'T exercise -- bloated, sluggish and depressed. When I do something, even if it is just a brisk walk, it makes me feel happy and energized. It's the best "me time" I can have. And burning more calories lets me eat more too! :carrot: Always a bonus! |
